What the desk is not guessing
Rankings and odds shift in the days before a card, so the desk will not publish either until fight week. What is settled: the date, the venue, the main-event pairing and the broadcast.

The lesson
Fight Night cards are where careers are built quietly. Most of the fighters on these cards will never headline a pay-per-view; they win by being the more prepared person in a ten-minute window. If you are training toward amateur MMA or kickboxing, treat every smaller show like that: be on weight, healthy and ready for the version of the fight that goes the distance.
The main event gets the poster. The rest of the card is how the division actually moves.
